The stock lost 2.19 per cent to settle at Rs 3,733.05 on BSE. Intra-day, it declined 2.76 per cent to Rs 3,710.75.
Hero MotoCorp was the biggest loser among the 30-share index components.
On NSE, shares of the company dipped 2.18 per cent to end at Rs 3,735.85.
Country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp yesterday posted a marginal increase in net profit at Rs 1,010.49 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, although it clocked a record two million units sales during the period.
Total income of the company stood at Rs 8,479.59 crore for the second quarter, as compared to Rs 8,601.10 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.
