The statement said that 12.5 grams of heroin was seized from Rangvamual, by Excise and Narcotics department official on Wednesday night and they arrested Lalnii (45) of Zokhawthar village in Mizoram-Myanmar border Champhai district in this connection.
The officials also seized 2,000 capsules of parvon spas, widely abused by the youths in the state, from Phunchawng village near Rangvamual today.
Rafu Ahmed (21), Moynul Ahmed (25) and Nizzam Uddin (23), all from Assam were arrested for smuggling the drugs from Assam.
