Heroin worth Rs 1.25 crore seized in Punjab

Punjab police today claimed to have seized 260 gram heroin with a street value of Rs 1.25 crore from an alleged drug peddler here.
Gurdev Singh, resident of Amargarh Ballian, was arrested on Tuesday after the Narcotics Cell of Punjab police recovered 260 gram of heroin from his possession during a routine check, police said.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had brought the seized contraband from Daulewal village and was on his way to meet customers on his motorcycle, Narcotics cell Inspector Jaspal Singh said.
