Heroin worth Rs 110 crore seized

Twenty-two kg of heroin, smuggled from Pakistan, with a street value of Rs 110 crore were seized by the Customs Department at the Attari railway station here today.
The consignment was smuggled to India from Pakistan through the goods train, Assistant Commissioner Customs Vijay Bhadur Singh said.
Twenty-two packets of heroin were found hidden in a green coloured bag kept with other goods in one of the bogies of the train, he said.
Earlier, the drug, brought from Pakistan, was seized a number of times concealed in cement bags in the train.
