HI now has 19 associate members, with 27 affiliated members and two state Olympic association members.
The FCI Sports Promotion Board is promoting sports since 1969 through its stipend scheme for young and talented sportspersons. With this inclusion, FCI Sports Promotion Board can take part in the National Championship being conducted by HI.
"FCI Sports Promotion Board has played major role in the promoting hockey by recruiting young and talented players like Surender Kumar and Keshav Dutt. I am confident that FCI Sports Promotion Board will continue its initiatives in the development and promotion of Indian hockey in future," Batra said in a statement.
