Hillary Clinton will mark a new chapter in American political history tomorrow when she delivers acceptance speech of her nomination as a first woman presidential candidate by a major political party in the US.
In her speech, she is expected to lay down her vision of America and what she intended to accomplish in the next four years if she is elected as the next president of the US in the November general elections.
Clinton, 68, is the first woman to be nominated as a presidential candidate by a major political party - this breaking into the penultimate glass ceiling of the American political system.
She is facing a tough challenge from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
On January 20, 2017, she could be the first woman to be sworn in as the president of the US.
The Democratic National Convention said Clinton would be introduced by her daughter Chelsea Clinton.
Former US President Bill Clinton would be here inside the Wells Fargo Center when his wife, the former First Lady and the former US Senator from New York, delivers her acceptance speech.
For the past several decades in her public life, Clinton has been a strong advocate of women rights, children and down trodden not only in the US but also across the globe.
She was the first to say "women's rights is human rights".
Her relationship with India and Indian Americans is well known.
As US Senator from New York she founded Senate India Caucus - the only country-specific caucus in the Senate.
As the Secretary of State in the first term of the Obama Administration, she launched the first ever India-US Strategic Dialogue, thus institutionalising the India-US ties.
Clinton has been a frequent traveler to India and she has several Indian Americans in her campaign staff playing key role in her election strategy and policy making.
