Himachal: Cong, BJP and 3 independent candidates in fray for

Five candidates were in the fray for Bhoranj (SC) assembly bye-election as the covering candidates of Congress and BJP withdrew their nominations on the last of withdrawal today.
Anil Dhiman of BJP, Promila Devi of Congress party and independents - Pavan Chandel, Ramesh Dogra and Kusum Azadwould be contesting the election now.
The polling would take place on April 9 and counting of votes would take place on April 13.
This seat had fallen vacant following death of senior BJP leader and six times MLA from Bhoranj, Ishwar Dass Dhiman in November 2016.
