Hindu Shrines bill under consideration stage: J-K Govt

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said that the bill, aiming at the proper management of the Hindu shrines and religious places in the state, is presently at the consideration stage.
"The bill is presently at the consideration stage," Minister of State for Revenue, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, said in a written reply to the question of BJP member Ashok Khajuria in Assembly here.
The department had already introduced the bill namely 'Jammu and Kashmir Hindu Shrines and Religious Places (Management and Regulation) on March 9, 2009 in the state Legislative Assembly through the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
