In the complaint, the 28-year-old woman has accused Hiranandani, Managing Director of Hiranandani Group, of getting the residents of Jai Bhim Nagar slums in suburban Powai forcibly evicted by slum lords whose men were also alleged to have attempted to destroy evidence of a shrine in the area earlier this month.
She has pressed charges of criminal intimidation and conspiracy against the real estate baron.
The woman also alleged she was raped by two men on June 14, but claimed that Powai police did not take note of her complaint. She claimed her medical examination was not carried out.
"As per the high court directive, we today registered an FIR against eight persons, including the builder and Inspector YS Jadhav," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Sadanand Date.
