Hirwani to head MP Ranji Trophy selection panel

Former Team India spinner Narendra Hirwani was today appointed Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association's (MPCA) committee that will select players for the Ranji Trophy.
Former spinner Hirwani, who played 17 Tests for India, is also the Vice-President of MPCA.
The 45-year-old Hirwani will head Ranji Trophy Tournament Selection Committee which consists of six members, an MPCA release said here.
Besides, a core committee of the association has been set up which comprises former BCCI Secretary and MPCA President Sanjay Jagdale, Vice-President M K Bhargava and senior member Mahendra Sethia.
Former cricketer Sandhya Agrawal has been named Chairperson of the Senior Women Selection Committee, it said.
A total of 27 committees were constituted by the MPCA's recently elected new executive body.
