Holiday in 5 Assam districts for Lok Sabha polls

Assam government today declared public holiday on Saturday in select places having Lok Sabha elections for Silchar, Karimganj and Autonomous District constituencies, an official release said.
Elections would be held in Karimganj, Hailakandi, Karbi Anglong, Cachar and Dima Hasao districts on April 12.
The government has declared the holiday under NI Act 1881, it added.
