Sony Pictures is releasing Hollywood movie 'Alpha', an epic adventure set inthe last Ice Age, in India on August 24.
The film, directed by Albert Hughes and starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jhannes Haukur Jhannesson, explores the origin of man's best friend.
According to an official synopsis of the film, while on his first hunt with his tribe's most elite group, a young man is injured and must learn to survive alone in the wilderness.
He reluctantly tames a lone wolf abandoned by its pack and the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before winter arrives.
The film will be releasing in English and Tamil.
