Homage paid to 1962 India-China war hero

Homage was paid to the China war hero Subedar Joginder Singh of Mahla Kalan, a Paramvir Chakra awardee (posthumously), here today.
The commemoration ceremony was organised by the 48th Infantry Brigade on his 51st death anniversary.
Late Subedar Joginder Singh of the 1st Sikh regiment was conferred with the highest gallantry award of the nation posthumously.
Born in 1921, Singh joined the army in 1941 and fought bravely against the Chinese attack in 1962.
He was seriously wounded in the attack and later died.
