He said the government has urged the Centre to set up an Army recruitment office in Jhajjar for the youth of the state.
Khattar was speaking at a function here on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Paying rich tributes to the freedom fighter, he said Netaji holds a special place in the hearts of the youth.
The Chief Minister said while 7,000 police personnel were recruited last year in the state, an equal number of the would also be recruited this year.
He said the government is making concerted efforts to strengthen the Home Guard force.
Minister of State for Cooperation Manish Kumar Grover said the government was following the agenda of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
