Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba to hold addl charge of DOPT Secy

Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba was today given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) with immediate effect during absence on leave of incumbent Ajay Mittal.
The competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post to Gauba with immediate effect and until further orders, during the period of absence on leave of Mittal, an order issued by DoPT said, without mentioning the period of leave.
Mittal, a 1982 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, had on June 30 taken over as the DoPT Secretary.
59-year-old Mittal is due to retire in February next year.
