Homeguard shot dead in Bihar

Miscreants shot dead a homeguard posted at a jail in Bihar's Siwan district this morning, police said.
The 45-year-old homeguard was gunned down near his native Jodkan village when he was on his way to the Siwan Mandal Kara jail to report for duty, Sub-divisional Police Officer of Siwan Sadar, Kartikey Sharma said.
The man was rushed to the Siwan sadar hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said.
Police investigations are on to identify and nab the culprits, he added.
