"This partnership with the largest regional rural bank in North East will definitely make two-wheeler buying from Honda more accessible and convenient for the customers," HMSI Section Manager (Sales Strategy) Subhash Chopra told reporters here.
The company is confident that with the bank's strong network, it will be able to reach out to more customers in Assam, he added.
Besides Assam, HMSI is already associated with co- operative, gramin and non-banking financial institutions in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal for providing two-wheeler retail finance facilities.
HMSI claimed while two-wheeler industry in North East has grown at 15 per cent, sales of the company grew by 29 per cent during April-December last year compared to the year ago period.
