The building will house the offices of the Renewable Energy Department and Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA).
It has been constructed in compliance with the Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC) and with 5-star rating of Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) rating system for Green buildings, said an official release.
The building has Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system of 42.5 KW capacity, Solar Chimney, mist cooling, cavity walls, fly ash based bricks, solar water heating system, water recycling and energy efficient lighting.
All the windows in the building are oriented in South direction with double glazed windows to ensure maximum light during the day and minimum transmission of thermal load into the building, release said.
