Nandigama (Rural) Circle Inspector Rama Kumar said that the victims, G Tejaswini (5) and G Dwaraka (8) are siblings of Gunji Rama Rao native of Nandigama village, who studied in the second and third class at a missionary school in Kesara village of Krishna district and stayed in the school hostel.
After a student at the hostel complained to their teacher that the victims allegedly stole sweets and money from her box, the teacher allegedly beat them up severely and informed the matter to the school hostel warden, who in a fit of rage, picked up a burning log and pressed it on the hands of the siblings.
The school hostel warden called their father and sent them home, after which the victims were admitted to the Nandigama Government Hospital.
A case has been registered at the Kanchikacherla police station, against the school teacher and the hostel warden, the police said.
