A senior government official, whom the previous House had found guilty following a privilege motion, was today absolved from the punishment by the Jharkhand Assembly.
The decision to absolve the then District Development Officer Dilip Kumar Jha was taken through voice vote on the last day of the special session.
Former RJD MLA Sanjay Prasad Yadav had brought the motion in the third House against Jha, following which the official was meted out punishments, including bar on promotion.
