Housewife and girl molested in two separate incidents

Two cases of molestation of two women in two different incidents were reported in the city during the last two days, a police official said here today.
Police sub-inspector Ingle of the Korpi police station said that in the first incident, a 19-year-old girl was walking towards Thane East station was molested, after which she complained to the police.
After this incident which took place around 7.30 pm on August 9, the girl's father, who questioned the boys about the harassment was beaten up, the police official said.
An offence under Section 354(d) and Section 323, read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against four youth, though no arrests have been made in connection with the case, the police official said.

In another incident on the night of August 8, a housewife returning home at 9 pm was molested by two men, Assistant Police Inspector Nirmala Patil of the Naupada police station told PTI.
The housewife and her husband were also beaten up by the accused, who have been booked under Sections 354(a)(1); Section 143, Section 147, Section 323, Section 504 and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code, the police official said.
No arrest has been made so far in connection, the police official said.
