Asha Gondaliya (28), a resident of Metoda industrial area near the city, first threw her three-year-old daughter Amanya and one-and-a-half year old son Nihal into a pond on the outskirts of city, after which she too jumped into the pond, Lodhika police station police sub-inspector B K Chavda said.
"Asha had left her home last night along with her three children. She jumped into a pond after throwing Amanya and Nihal into it, while her elder daughter Swati managed to run away. Later, Swati informed her father and grandparants, who informed fire brigade," the police official said.
Domestic quarrel is stated to be a reason behind the suicide, the police official said.
