HP CM for job-oriented education in HP

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today stressed the need for the value-based and job-oriented education in the state, saying his government was committed to provide quality education to all at their doorsteps.
Addressing a public meeting at remote Balsar area of Sirmaur district, the chief minister said an Indian Institute of Management was coming up at Dhaulakuan in Sirmaur district while an Indian Institute of Information Technology had been sanctioned for the state which would be opened in Una.
He also dedicated the Rs 4.31 crore Balsar-Jhajjar road and other projects worth Rs 30 crore to public on the occasion.
The CM announced construction of a bridge over Roon river connecting villages of Andheri and Papallion and said the detailed project report for it has already been prepared.
Announcing the construction of a bridge over Majhara Khud at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore, he directed the officials concerned to take up construction work of labour hostel at Kala-Amb and assured early completion of Ring Road for Nahan town.
Singh said the state government was considering to opening of more ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) to promote job- oriented education and imparting training to youths.
He said three more medical colleges were coming up at Chamba, Hamirpur and Nahan for which a sum of Rs 570 crore had been sanctioned.
