Jammu and Kashmir replied strongly in their second innings with three half-centuries but that may not be enough as Himachal Pradesh would be eyeing three points on basis of their first innings lead in a Ranji Trophy Group C cricket fixture today.
Having surrendered meekly for 162, Jammu and Kashmir were 337/4 for an overall lead of 129 at close on the penultimate day, as the match headed towards a draw at the JSCA International Stadium Complex today.
Himachal Pradesh, who put up 370 in their first innings, have already ensured three points from this match.
Opener Shubham Khajuria scored 86 (13x4) in a 155-run partnership with Ian Dev Singh, who got out for a nervous 99 (11x4, 2x6), as Jammu and Kashmir put up a solid batting display.
Skipper Parvez Rasool hit a quickfire 68 from 72 balls (6x4, 3x6) as he and Puneet Bisht put on 68 from 14.3 overs to take the team past 300.
At stumps, Bisht was unbeaten on 33 with Mithun Manhas on 18.
Brief Scores:
J&K: 162 & 337/4 in 101 overs (Ian Dev Singh 99, Shubham Khajuria 86, Parvez Rasool 68).
Himachal Pradesh 1st innings: 370.
