HP govt to construct 49 parking slots on BOT basis

The Himachal Pradesh Government has proposed to construct 49 parking slots here to accommodate 2012 vehicles on BOT (Build Operate and Transfer) basis, Urban development Minister Sudhir Sharma said today.
In a reply to a question by BJP's Suresh Bharadwaj, he said that at present 15 parking slots manned by Shimla Municipal Corporation have a capacity to accommodate 523 vehicles while parking facility for 188 vehicles have been provided on the roadside.
He said the government has proposed to develop parking slots at 49 identified places on BOT basis to provide parking facilities for 2012 vehicles.
