HP to regularise contractual employees with three years

The Himachal Pradesh cabinet today decided to regularise all employees on contract who have completed three years of service on March 31 this year.
The cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, also approved an increase in the grant-in-aid for 'chowkidars' posted in gram panchayats from Rs 2,050 to Rs 2,350. The decision will benefit 3,226 people serving the post, an official release said here.
It also approved the increase in the monthly honorariums to anganwadi workers and sahayakas from Rs 450 to Rs 1,450 and Rs 300 to Rs 600 respectively, it said.
The cabinet has decided to give one-day casual leave to contract appointees after one month service, besides 10 medical and five special leaves in a year, the release said.

A woman contract appointee with less than two children will be entitled to maternity leave for 135 days while others, irrespective of the number children, to 45 days, it said.
It also decided to regularise the services of the para- medical staff under the Rogi Kalyan Samitis (RKS) after four years instead of eight years, the release said.

The four years include three-year service under government contract and one year under RKS, it said.
The cabinet has also decided that medical officers (general wing) will be provided 4-9-14 time scale by counting adhoc, RKS and contract service, the release said.

In a major decision, the government decided that from nest year January 1, medical officers will be appointed only on regular basis, it said.
It was also decided that the part-time workers with eight years of service till March 31 or September 30 would be converted into daily-wagers, the release said.
The approval to purchase 25 buses with 30 seats each, 250 buses with 37 seats each and 50 buses with 47 seats each through HRTC was given by the cabinet, it said.
The cabinet approved new National Highway (NH) Sub Division at Una under NH Division Hamirpur and Sarahan in Sirmaur district, the release said.

It gave its nod to increase the grant under the HP Mother Teresa Matri Asahaaye Sambal Yojana from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 per child, it said.
