The Ministry of Human Resource Development today approved setting up an inter-university yoga centre at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana in Bengaluru.
The announcement was made by Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on the fourth International Yoga Day.
"I have sanctioned Inter University Centre for Yoga in S-VYASA University for Yoga in Bengaluru. #UGC accepted the recommendation of the committee appointed for this purpose," Javadekar said in a tweet.
The Union minister joined several yoga enthusiasts in Mumbai's Marine Drive on the Yoga Day today.
