HT Media Q3 net profit at Rs 67.02 cr

HT Media today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 67.02 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 53.61 crore in the same period last fiscal, HT Media said in a filing to the BSE.
Consolidated net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 573.04 crore, while it was Rs 540.25 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company said the financials were not comparable with the year-ago period due to the sale of parent company's controlling stake in HT Burda.
In terms of segment revenue, the company said the printing and publishing of newspapers and periodicals clocked Rs 533.53 crore during the quarter.
Radio broadcast and entertainment vertical clocked Rs 26.67 crore, while that of digital was at Rs 19.54 crore, it said.
Shares of HT Media today closed lower by 1.43 per cent at Rs 72.60 apiece on the BSE.
