Huge haul of explosives seized in UP, 3 arrested

A huge haul of explosives, including 10,500 electronic detonators and gelatin rods, have been seized from three persons in Sonbhadra district.
During a vehicle-checking drive, three persons were nabbed at the Central School crossing in Chopan police station area last night and 10,500 electronic detonators, 793 gelatin rods and 375 fuse wires were recovered from their possession, police said today.
During interrogation, the trio, who have been arrested, said that they had brought the explosives from Adlahaad police station area of Mirzapur and they were to be used for blasting stones.
Police are investigating into the matter.
