Husband arrested for killing wife for dowry

A man was arrested here today after his wife's parents lodged a police complaint against him alleging that he killed her demanding more dowry.
Police said Jyotsna Das's parents today lodged a complaint at Kotwali police station here alleging that her husband Bablu Das and in-laws killed her by forcing her to consume pesticide.
Based on the complaint the police arrested Jyotsna's husband Bablu.
Jyotsna's parents alleged that she was tortured by her husband and in-laws who wanted more dowry.
Jyotsna's father Pratik Barua said yesterday they received a phone call from hospital informing them that Jyotsna who was pregnant had died.
They alleged that Bablu forced Jyotsna to consume pesticide which led to her death.
