Hyderabad to host 'International TV Dance Festival' tomorrow
Press Trust of India Hyderabad The first edition of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's 'International Television Dance Festival' would be held here tomorrow evening.
There would be 115 participants from nine nations, A Surya Prakash, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, which is hosting the event, told reporters here.
The Festival, to be inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, is aimed at promoting cultural exchange among the ABU-member countries, he said.
"It will really showcase contemporary and traditional dance forms of various countries", Surya Prakash said.
Apart from some channels of Doordarshan, the programme would be telecast by many broadcasters in Asia-Pacific region, he said.
Dancers from Maldives, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, Fiji, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, India and Indonesia would perform at the event.
