Randhir, 67, and the 60-year-old Bollywood diva have done many films together including 'Raampur Ka Lakshman', 'Dharam Karam', 'Kasme Vaade', 'Khalifa' among others.
"40 years back we met and I had some great experience with her. We have been best of friends off-screen as well. I am a great admirer of her talent. It is my good fortune that I am still working with her," Randhir said.
In the Indra Kumar-directed film, which is hitting theatres on October 31, Rekha is playing the titular character of super nani (grandmother) and Randhir is paired opposite her.
"People do call her eccentric, moody but with me she has always been the same. I always talk about love with Rekha. There are stages of life when things get different," Randhir said.
Asked about his favourite film with the actress, Randhir said, "'Raampur Ka Lakshman' is one of my favourite. She was different looking in that film.
