I&B Ministry transfers 24 seniors officers of IIS

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry today transferred 24 senior officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS), according to an official order.
M V V S Murthy, who was the director general (DG) of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Bengaluru, has been transfered as the DG (South), PIB, Chennai, whereas K S Dhatwalia the current DG in PIB, New Delhi, has been made the DG (Northeast), PIB, Guwahati, the ministry order said.
There were also transfers of 22 additional director generals.
The transfers or postings of the officers in the Selection Grade and Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) of the IIS Group 'A' are with immediate effect, it said.
