Abhishek, who will be next seen in the upcoming comedy-drama "All is Well" which stars Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak as his parents, said his father gives him enough space to voice his opinions.
"There is not much I disagree with my dad on. If there is a difference of opinion, we reason it out so at the end we are all fine. We, thankfully, never had any issue where we had a disagreement about something.
"If there's something which he says which I don't agree with, he give me the opportunity to explain my point of view and if it makes sense to him then he's okay with it," Abhishek said in an interview.
Even though the actor will be seen playing a son, who has issues with his father in the comedy-drama, he credited his parents for encouraging him to have a say in family matters.
"The most important thing is to have a dialogue. When I was growing up my parents always encouraged us to sit down and chat things out. If there was any big family decision to be taken, even though we were children, we were consulted."
"The mother-son relationship in this film is very real. I am very close to my mother. My dad is like my buddy, we have always had a friendly relationship. But mother-son don't have the buddy relationship. My mother for me is like Maa and that is sacred. A mother and a son have a unique bond.
Where they can say a lot without communicating anything. That's my relationship with Supriya Pathak in the film, where there's so much that is communicated just by gesture or understanding that goes to show the bond between the two.
