Zac Efron, who secretly completed a brief stint in rehab for problems with cocaine and alcohol last year, says it was tough but interesting journey.
Since then, the 26-year-old star is back to leading a normal life and has joined Alcoholics Anonymous, said the Hollywood Reporter.
"I was drinking a lot, way too much. It's never one specific thing. I mean, you're in your 20s, single, going through life in Hollywood, you know?," he said about his pre-rehab life.
"Everything is thrown at you. I wouldn't take anything back; I needed to learn everything I did. But it was an interesting journey, to say the least," Efron said about his eventful year.
The actor feels he is now much more comfortable about himself since joining AA.
"I just started going. And I think it's changed my life. I'm much more comfortable in my own skin. Things are so much easier now. It's a never-ending struggle.
