The 32-year-old "Phantom" actress said she may have worked in more films than Aditya, but the two started their journey in showbiz approximately at the same time.
"I may be senior to Adi (Aditya) in the body of work or number of films I have done, but actually we started our journey in the entertainment industry at the same time. I never consider myself a senior. I just see him as friend," Katrina told reporters here during the launch of the song "Pashmina" from their movie.
"I didn't know him well. We move in same social circle but we never had a talk. My main journey to know him was on the set of 'Fitoor'. I was really impressed with him.
"His energy and presence in the first shot itself took me aback. I was very confident from day one that this is going to be a good journey," she said.
Based on Charles Dickens classic novel "Great Expectations," "Fitoor" will release on February 12.
