"The national website of the Income Tax department-- www.Incometaxindia.Gov.In-- is undergoing redevelopment. In this regard, the department is inviting suggestions from all the stakeholders on the design, facilities, contents and features that you would like to incorporate in the new website," the department said in its invite to the public.
It said the suggestions from the public will be accepted till March 25 which have to be posted on the existing e-portal of the department.
"The department is wanting to launch the new I-T website as early as the start of the next fiscal which is post March 31. Once the suggestions are collected, they will be presented before a panel which has tax officials and information technology experts on-board," a senior official said.
A number of taxpayer facilities like links to e-filing, circulars and notices along with grievance redressal mechanism are expected to reflect in the new and refurbished I-T website, the official said.
