"I'm not going to lie, I've always had this dream of accepting an Oscar for a movie that I've produced or helped write, so I hope it happens one day," the 53-year old said.
Cowell returns to UK screens this weekend as the new series of 'Britain's Got Talent' begins on ITV, reported Digital Spy.
He said that fellow judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden acted like "3-year-olds" when they walked out of auditions during filming earlier this year.
"This year, it's turned into The Guys vs The Girls," he added.
Cowell recently sat through workshops for the musical and said he is excited for the show to open.
"I'm excited now I've seen it. I sat through the workshops. Some of the actors were fill-ins and some of them were people that we will use. I think it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.
