Kushal Paul from Kolkata, who emerged as the winner of the singing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa," says he wants to playback for Hrithik Roshan as the actor is his favourite since childhood.
"As a playback I would really like to work for Hrithik Roshan. He is my favourite since childhood," he told PTI in an interview.
Kushal, 17, who started singing at the age of three, credits his mother for all his success and never expected to win the show.
"I started learning when I was three and that's very young age to start with. All the credits goes to my mom, she motivated me. She knew that I could sing.
"I never expected to win the show my motive was just to perform. It came as a surprise to me," he said.
Kushal was famous for his unique style of singing. He was reffered as the "rockstar" of the show, but the singer feels it developed automatically and he never expected to get such title.
"I don't know how it came, I never put any effort to develop any style. I am glad that people loved the way I am."
The singer is thankful to "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" as well as music composer Pritam, who was his mentor in the show.
"I was in Pritam Da's team and I have learned a lot from him and other mentors too. I have learnt a lot from the show as well, like how to perform. I have developed a lot of confidence," he said.
Kushal has not signed any projects till yet but promises to do something of his own and come up with a music video. As a singer, he admires Sonu Nigam in the film industry.
The show's finale was a grand extravaganza infused with an array of amazing performances.
Motivating and cheering the outstanding performances put forth by the finalists were lead pair of Marathi movie "Sairaat" -Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru, Kailash Kher Sukhvinder Singh, Ayaan & Armaan Malik and Benny Dayal.
