The couple tied the knot on Sunday after photographs of their sunset ceremony emerged on Twitter.
In the photos, Reed, 26, who was previously married to singer-songwriter Paul McDonald, can be seen in a white lace gown while 36-year-old Somerhalder wore a white suit and shirt.
Several other photos shared on the micro-blogging site see the married couple posing for wedding shots on the sunny day.
Somerhalder, who previously dated his "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev, hinted about the big day on twitter.
The couple, who started dating in early 2014, got engaged in January this year after six months of dating.
