A 2011-batch IAS officer, Singh has been moved to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre (Delhi segment) for a period of three years in relaxation of guidelines, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
The state government and Home Ministry have given their nod to the cadre change, it said.
According to rules, a married couple in government service needs to be posted at the same location as far as possible.
She was in the news in 2013 for taking on the sand mining mafia and cracking down on illegal construction in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district.
She was in July, 2013, suspended by the Uttar Pradesh government, a move which was believed to have been effected at the behest of some politicians hailing from that area. Nagpal was reinstated in September, 2013.
