IAS officer killed in road accident

A senior IAS officer was today killed in a road mishap in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.
Kulbir Singh, 60, was posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Tarn Taran district, police said.
The mishap took place this morning when the car, being driven by Singh, collided with a truck in Goindwal town of the district. Secretary market committee, Tarn Taran, Paramjit Singh was also in the ill-fated car and got injured seriously.
Both were rushed to a private hospital in Goindwal. After first aid they were referred to Jalandhar district hospital.
The officer was declared brought dead by the doctors at the hospital, while the condition of Paramjit is stated to be critical, police said.
