Son of an IAS officer, working with the Telangana government, is being questioned for his alleged role in a murder case, police said.
The body of a person identified as B Nagaraju was found in a gunny bag yesterday in Yousufguda area, said police.
Locals alerted the police after foul smell spread in the area, they said.
"We found the body wrapped in a gunny bag and during the course of investigation it was revealed that the body was of one B Nagaraju.
"He worked as driver for IAS officer's wife. Police are questioning the official's son," ACP (Banjara Hills Division) Uday Kumar Reddy said.
"We are suspecting his role (in the murder case). As per preliminary investigation and based on CCTV footage, the duo had gone on the terrace of an apartment in the area and had drinks. They later quarreled over some reason which is still not known," the ACP said.
"As per the evidence available the IAS officer's son is being questioned. We are probing role of others as well... We are examining from all angles and if need be the IAS officer too will be questioned," Deputy Commissioner of Police, (West Zone) A Venkateshwar Rao told PTI.
