IBM to partner 8 univs for training Watson on cybersecurity

Technology giant IBM plans to collaborate with eight universities to train its cognitive computing technology platform -- Watson -- on cybersecurity.
Training Watson for Cyber Security is a critical step in the advancement of cognitive security, IBM said in a statement.
Watson is learning the nuances of security research findings and discovering patterns and evidence of hidden cyber attacks and threats that could otherwise be missed, it added.
The universities include California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; Pennsylvania State University; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; New York University; the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC); the University of New Brunswick; the University of Ottawa and the University of Waterloo.

Pepperfry appoints Neelesh Talathi as Chief Financial Officer * Online furniture marketplace Pepperfry.Com today said it has appointed Neelesh Talathi as its Chief Financial Officer.
In this role, Talathi will lead strategy, financial planning, accounting, legal and corporate affairs for Pepperfry.Com, the company said in a statement.
He has previously worked with Vedanta Resources PLC and Hindustan Unilever.
