"This is to inform that the directors of the company have appointed Mrs Alka Bharucha as an additional director, qualifying as an independent director on the board of the company for the period of five years with effect from December 26, 2016," the company said in a BSE filing.
She began her career with Mulla & Mulla & Craige Blunt & Caroe and joined Amarchand & Mangaldas in 1992. In 2008, she co-founded Bharucha & Partners.
"Bharucha has vast experience in legal practice relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, banking and structured finance, capital markets and infrastructure," it added.
