IED recovered from village near Boko, defused

A powerful improvised explosive device was recovered today in Kamrup district.
According to police officers, the IED was recovered from a house at Hatichala village under Jorsimalu police outpost near Boko this morning.
The IED, weighing about five kg, was recovered by the police after acting on a tip off.
Later, bomb experts of the Assam Police from Guwahati reached the spot and defused it.
The Police have detained the owner of the house Islam Chowdhury and his son Afjalur for interrogation, but were released later.
