IIS officers transferred to PIB to also look after DD, AIR news

The I&B ministry today asked some of the IIS officers, who were recently transferred to the PIB here, to also take up the additional responsibility of looking after the work of DD and AIR news, according to an official order.
As many as 15 Indian Information Service (IIS) Group 'A' officers, who were transferred to the Press Information Bureau (PIB) and assigned various ministries for publicity and media-related programmes, will also look after the work of Doordarshan News, the Information and Broadcasting ministry's order said.
Similarly, 16 officers will also take care of the All India Radio's (AIR) news service division.
officers of IIS Group A, who were transferred to PIB, New Delhi, to look after the media and publicity work of various ministries, will hereby look after the work of DDN (HQ) and NSD:AIR (HQ), in addition to their primary duty at PIB, New Delhi, with immediate effect and until further orders, the order said.
