According to the city government's Delhi Statistical Handbook 2016 released today, the number of pension beneficiaries for the year 2014-15 stood at 3.31 lakh.
"The average number of beneficiaries of old-age pension was 4.08 lakh in 2015-2016," it said.
Also, under the Ladli scheme 1.74 lakh girls got financial benefits during 2015-16, the report said. 1.85 lakh girls were protected under the scheme in 2014-15.
Financial assistance/unemployment allowance was given to 65,070 disabled persons during 2015-16. Besides, average number of beneficiaries of financially assistance to widows etc, stood at 1.58 lakh in the same year.
