The Right to Recall election was held for Harsud (Chhanera) Nagar Panchayat chairman's post after local corporators passed a vote of no-confidence against Kamalkant Bharadwaj, who had won the local body poll as an Independent, by levelling a number of allegations against him, Deputy Electoral Officer Sureshchandra Verma said.
The State Election Commission had scheduled the Right to Recall contest for January 31 and polling for the same was held that day.
Chhanera is the only Nagar Panchayat in Harsud Assembly constituency.
Chhanera residents celebrated Bharadwaj's win and termed it as a victory of the people.
