"Our countries are natural allies, sharing a commitment to democracy, religious pluralism, and the rule of law," Senator John Cornyn said in a statement on the eve of Republic Day.
Cornyn is co-founder of the Senate India Caucus and serves on the Finance and Judiciary Committees. He is the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee.
"As the co-founder of the Senate India Caucus, I am grateful for the many opportunities I have to foster the important relationship between our countries and for the input and perspective I receive from dynamic Indian-American leaders in Texas," Cornyn said.
